Mission Brief 043 – Move Every Day

Treat movement as daily maintenance. Just 20–30 minutes of brisk walking, bodyweight work, or activity keeps your circulation, joints, and metabolism tuned—like oiling a well-used machine. Movement isn’t just physical upkeep; it’s a daily systems check for your clarity, confidence, and readiness to act.

Just 10 minutes of brisk walking can boost your energy for up to 2 hours—like jump-starting your body’s internal generator.

Movement preserves your capacity for action. Without it, performance and recovery quietly erode—and your ability to meet life’s demands starts to slip away unnoticed.

I’m very routine-oriented, so I need to build movement into my daily system. I wear a Fitbit to track my health stats and do most of my exercising outside. I’m still working on a backup plan for days when it’s snowing, smoky, or life gets in the way. I’ve noticed I feel significantly better—physically and mentally—when I keep moving.

Block 20–30 minutes on your calendar. Treat it like a non-negotiable meeting with your future self.

“Exercise is the most potent and underutilized antidepressant.” — Bill Phillips

What’s the real barrier to movement today—scheduling, friction, or misplaced priority?  And what’s one way you can remove it tomorrow?
